Spring semester is over!

Spring semester is over. I was glad about it and at the same time, I wish the semester were long. I really liked going to school to learn some new things especially that I really liked the course that I am into now. I was very excited to enroll in the summer semester until I learned that if I was enrolled in spring semester 2010, I am not allowed to enroll in the next summer or fall semester. They said they are currently accepting applications for new and returning students only at this time. Otherwise, it will delay my enrolment process for next semester. I saw this announcement at the website of the school where I am currently going. I have to call a friend who also goes to this school. I just don’t understand it. If I cannot enroll this summer or fall semester, I’d probably just enroll in online continuing education – the ed2go. I don’t want to stop and wait for another semester. Let’s see what I can do.

Private Browsing

You can browse the web without leaving any trace in your Internet browser. We know the fact that it is nearly impossible to anonymously browse the net, however, Internet browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome will allow you go incognito whenever you wish to browse the Internet.

The private browsing mode will reject cookies and will not keep a surfing history in your cached files. So, other users in using the same computer would not notice where you browse the net or where you had been up to on the net.

Well, in my case, I don’t use private browsing. But if you are using the office computer you can use private browsing, but you have to remember that some companies may have installed software in the computer so they can track where their employees have been up to on the web.

Additionally, remember that websites will still be able to collect information about. Malicious software can still track your keystrokes in exchange of free smileys. Surveillance by secret agents can track and of course, people standing behind you.

Roller coasters may be linked to a common ear injury

May 20, 2010 · Posted in Family, Personal, technology · Comment

Do you love roller coasters? In my case, I don’t like roller coasters. I just don’t like feeling of going up and down the hill. In other words, I don’t like the thrill, the g-forces and the adrenaline levels.

Anyway, according to a recent case study, modern roller coasters may be linked to a common ear injury. The faster the ride moves and the larger the change in altitude, the higher the force that is applied to the ear. If you turn your head to the left as the coaster falls, all that air pressure will get into your right ear canal, striking your ear drum with a force of 0.6 PSI (or pounds per square inch). It is recommended that when you ride roller coasters, you should have your head forward.

School project

I am going to be very busy for the next couple of days because of my school project. The project is making my own website. This is very challenging to me. I need to focus and concentrate on this big project. I am kind of nervous about doing it. But I have to challenge myself. I will be making a website about a certain country. When I get done I will share it here in this blog. And I am planning on developing it more and publish it on the web. Well, this is it! I always wanted to design a site anyway. I hope I can make it.

It’s May!

It’s May. I cannot believe it. It seems like January was just yesterday. Oh boy, I guess that’s how the earth moves. “I feel the earth move under my feet, I feel the sky tumbling down”, wait a minute that’s a song by Carol King. Anyhow, time runs fast, I guess I never noticed that because I am always busy. Life can be very busy, especially when you want to make money. I wish I could back to my old laid-back life where after work; I can still go to movies, eat a restaurant or hang out with my friends. Now, I am totally busy. I don’t want to be like this for the rest of my life. I noticed, as we grow older, we have a lot of responsibilities and that gives us anxieties. I remember when my husband and I went to the Universal studios; we went to see some rides so we have to take the escalators or stairways. You know what I did; I took the stairways because I was so afraid to ride the escalators. I guess, it gives me trauma when the first time I rode a roller coaster – I was terribly freaking out. The escalators were actually very high and it made think of a roller coaster. Oh well, I think this comes from anxieties in life. I have to deal with it in a positive way. I have to give my anxieties to God because He is the only that can give me peace.
