Birthday plans for my baby
I am amazed how fast my little boy is growing. He’s getting taller and bigger, and hitting milestones. He’s practicing walking right now. Oh, I can’t believe that time actually runs fast. It’s been almost a year since he came into this world. I must admit that I feel blue sometimes (not in a bad way) when I think that he’s growing up. And before we know it, he will be an adult and he will have a life of his own. I guess, every mother feels like this. It’s just a mama thing.
Wow! My baby is almost one year. He’s going to be one year old in 3 weeks. I am pretty much excited for his first birthday. I’m going to throw a small party for him. It’s just going to be our family and closed friends. It will be held at the park near our place, so my baby can play and enjoy his party, even if he won’t really care and doesn’t know that it’s his birthday (lol). I want to get him a few toys and a money box. You know what, I am very excited about the money box because I want to teach him how to save money. I want to teach my son the value of money as early as now. I think it will fun for him. I remember my mom taught me how to save money and put them in my money box when I was a kid. And every birthday, she would let me open my money box. It was really fun to count the coins to see how much money I saved up.
Anyhow, I looked up the web for money boxes today and I found the one that is perfect for my baby at shedloadofgifts.co.uk. It’s a cartoon style design ceramic car mini money box. I liked that site because they have a great variety of money boxes for children and they are pretty affordable. Now, I am really getting so excited as I plan for my little guy’s birthday.
Baby shower
I went to the grocery store the other day and I saw one of my friends here in our town. I was surprised to see her baby bump. Really, it was really surprising because I haven’t seen her for a long time. I know we live in the same town but we don’t bump into each other even at the store. So, she told me that she got married and now they are having baby girl. I was happy for her. I told her that I gave birth to a baby boy last year. We talked while shopping at the store. She invited me to her baby shower. I told her that I am going to bring dessert for the baby shower. She loves apple pie so that’s what I am going to bring and vanilla ice cream too. I’m excited for her baby shower. It reminds me of the baby shower I had last year. It was full of fun. And I received lots of baby stuff.
Shoe shopping
I enjoy shopping online. In fact, I buy almost every thing on the web from gadgets, clothes, to shoes because it’s more convenient and easier to me. And speaking of shoes, I have been looking up some kate spade shoes at one of the best designer shoe stores online. I just love how they look! I like how they are designed. I must admit that they are quite expensive but they are durable. I really want heavy-duty shoes that would last for years.
In fact, I have a few designer shoes that are still intact for couple of years now. I would rather spend money on expensive shoes than buying cheap quality and inexpensive shoes. I remember one of my friends broke her shoes while she was at work. The funny thing about it, was she didn’t notice that one of the heels fell off and somebody saw the heel on the ground. Oh boy, I would’nt want that to happen to me. lol
Back to shopping, I’ve also been eying on some Melissa shoes. I want to get a pair of flat shoes this summer. I am kind of excited about this plan though. I’m planning to buy these shoes for my birthday! I better start saving money now!
More projects
I’ve been very busy since we came back from our vacation. I have lots of projects to do. I don’t even know where to start. I must admit that I stress out just by thinking of my projects this year. But I think I can get them done in a timely manner. I know I can do it. Next month, I am going to help my husband paint our house both interior and exterior. I am also going to do rearrange my son’s bedroom. I want to change the paint color. I’ll probably paint his room blue and I want to get kids switch plate covers to make his room neat and unique. I am excited about these projects. I just hope that I’d be able to get them done before this year ends.
Fun vacation
I really enjoyed our holiday vacation. It’s really full of fun. I don’t even mind the weather here in Oregon right now. It’s not as cold as I thought. I could still go with two layers of clothes. Anyhow, my mom-in law showed me her compost tumbler yesterday. The nice thing about living in suburban is you can do things like this. I want to live here someday. I like living in the City but I think will enjoy more if I live here. I can do a lot activities.
Learning to play guitar

I really want to know how to play guitar. My husband taught me before but I didn’t have enough patience and courage to learn guitar. I complained that my fingers started to have calluses. I think I have to be more persistent in this goal. Actually, I have Ibanez guitar. My husband bought it for me to learn how to play. I really don’t want him to think that he just wasted his money on something that I would never use. So, I decided to pursue this goal and take some beginner guitar lessons online. I have looked up some websites that offer guitar lessons for beginners. I just need to make up my mind and start the guitar lessons as soon as possible. Now, I am getting a bit excited about playing guitars. I hope I can play one of my favorite songs, “Every breath you take” someday.
