Birthday plans for my baby
I am amazed how fast my little boy is growing. He’s getting taller and bigger, and hitting milestones. He’s practicing walking right now. Oh, I can’t believe that time actually runs fast. It’s been almost a year since he came into this world. I must admit that I feel blue sometimes (not in a bad way) when I think that he’s growing up. And before we know it, he will be an adult and he will have a life of his own. I guess, every mother feels like this. It’s just a mama thing.
Wow! My baby is almost one year. He’s going to be one year old in 3 weeks. I am pretty much excited for his first birthday. I’m going to throw a small party for him. It’s just going to be our family and closed friends. It will be held at the park near our place, so my baby can play and enjoy his party, even if he won’t really care and doesn’t know that it’s his birthday (lol). I want to get him a few toys and a money box. You know what, I am very excited about the money box because I want to teach him how to save money. I want to teach my son the value of money as early as now. I think it will fun for him. I remember my mom taught me how to save money and put them in my money box when I was a kid. And every birthday, she would let me open my money box. It was really fun to count the coins to see how much money I saved up.
Anyhow, I looked up the web for money boxes today and I found the one that is perfect for my baby at shedloadofgifts.co.uk. It’s a cartoon style design ceramic car mini money box. I liked that site because they have a great variety of money boxes for children and they are pretty affordable. Now, I am really getting so excited as I plan for my little guy’s birthday.
Baby shower
I went to the grocery store the other day and I saw one of my friends here in our town. I was surprised to see her baby bump. Really, it was really surprising because I haven’t seen her for a long time. I know we live in the same town but we don’t bump into each other even at the store. So, she told me that she got married and now they are having baby girl. I was happy for her. I told her that I gave birth to a baby boy last year. We talked while shopping at the store. She invited me to her baby shower. I told her that I am going to bring dessert for the baby shower. She loves apple pie so that’s what I am going to bring and vanilla ice cream too. I’m excited for her baby shower. It reminds me of the baby shower I had last year. It was full of fun. And I received lots of baby stuff.
Till death do us part
I was really surprised to know that one of my church friends is having hard times right now. It’s really sad to know a friend who is going through a bitter separation from a spouse. I didn’t expect it to happen. I know they have financial problems since he lost his job last year. Honestly, I was surprised to hear this. I always believe that marriage is eternal until death. I always think that marriage is for better or worse, in sickness and in health, in richer and poorer, till death do us part. I guess, there are things in life just don’t work out no matter how hard we try.
Now, he is going to hire a divorce lawyer. He saw some websites online, like cordellcordell.com that specializes on divorce for men, paternity fathers rights, etc. I told him to read Cordell&Cordell Reviews before hiring any divorce attorney.
I hope they will patch things up and work things out especially that they have two kids. I feel sad for them. It’s not good for the kids to be in a broken family.
It’s time to pamper myself
Do you ever pamper yourself? Actually, I couldn’t remember the last time I pampered myself. It’s been so long. I used to pamper myself a lot. But, since I gave birth, my life became so busy and occupied. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad at all. I enjoy being a first time mom. It’s just that I could hardly find time to relax because I am busy attending and taking care of my baby.
Lately, I was thinking of getting myself something really nice (one way to pamper is shopping). I thought of buying jewelry – a treat for myself. I love jewelry, most especially celtic jewelry. I need a little pampering here and there.
I realized that it’s time for me to indulge. Next to shopping is the spa or a massage maybe. I’m getting more excited about this plan. This is going to be fun!
My baby
My baby was very happy that I brought him to the park yesterday. He rode the swing there. I really saw excitement in his face. After the park, we went to the store to get some baby foods. So, I got my baby organic baby foods. I simply like the O organics brand. I like to feed my baby with organic baby foods. I know they are more spendy than regular baby foods but it’s worth it since they don’t have pesticide in it. I want to make my own baby food one of these days. I think homemade baby food is much better and healthier. Anyhow, I am excited to introduce apple sauce to my baby. I hope he likes it.
A proud parent
I feel so attached to my baby. I guess it’s like this especially that I am a first time mom. I also feel that my baby is attached to me. That’s a good thing though. I will take advantage of this opportunity because when he grows up I don’t think he’d want me as much as he wants me now. Since I became a parent I always think about my family. I want my kid to have a good future and I also want to get closer to my husband. You probably noticed that most of my articles here in my blog recently are about family. Yes, I must admit that every time I go here, I think about how proud I am being a mom. Well, I better go now because my baby is fussing and trying to get attention. Until next time…
