Gratitude

Since I was talking about gratitude and being thankful to God in my previous post. I would like to share some ways that may help you make gratitude a more important part of your life. I actually found this online. And I thought of sharing this here in my Blog.

Here are the ways:

  • Be Thankful for creation – thank God for the all the things He made for us, like the sky, water, air we breathe, the sun that gives us light during day, moon that gives us light during night, animals, the people that surround us, etc.
  • Be Thankful for little things – no matter how little it is, be grateful
  • Be Thankful with words – practice saying thank you for the happy moment and challenges in your life.
  • Focus on what you have – don’t compare yourself with other people. Be thankful to God for all the things He has given you and done in your life. Cultivate and develop God’s gifts.

Being grateful to God

Today, I am so grateful to God for all the things He has done to my life. I know I don’t deserve all the things He has given me. But I am very glad to receive them all. Just like how Psalm 103:2 says in the bible, “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Due to our hectic and busy life, we could often forget God’s works. However, God never stops interrupting our lives with His gifts. He always tells us how He loves us and desires that we learn to be grateful despite our busy life. As gratitude, I want to offer this day to God. I will let God direct and guide me today.

A healthy spirit

Healthy spirit:

* Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself to others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.
* Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.
* Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.
* Don’t let life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live up all the days of your life.
* Don’t give up when you still have something left to give, Nothing is really over . . . till the moment you stop trying.
* Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us together.
* Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances, that we learn to be brave.
* Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
* Don’t dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.
* Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but where you are going.
* Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored every step of the way.

All things are possible with God!!!

Oh, I am very very thankful to God for hearing my prayers. I was not really expecting that it would happen. It was a dream come true to me. I proclaim that God is good all the time. I just found out something – very good news. I could hardly believe it. Anyhow, in the first I was really hoping to God that it would really happen. And He made it happen. Nothing is really impossible with God when you put your faith in Him. It says in the bible, Matthew 17:20, “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

The meaning of Lent

The meaning of Lent

Lent is the season of reflections. The purpose of lent is the preparation of the Christians through reflections, self-denial and prayer. It is the commemoration during the death and resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Traditionally, lent is being observed by Catholic while some other Protestants don’t observe it but the Easter Day. Catholics fast and abstain during lent season. They consider Ash Wednesday as the first day of Lent. And during holy week (a week before Easter Day), they fast or abstain from eating any meat. But no matter what your religion is, the most important thing is you always remember how God died on the cross to save us from our sins.

Thought of the day

Thought for the day:

I want to make a habit of reading one bible passage in the morning every day. I just want to be inspired by the bible before I start my day. The bible passage I read today was Matthew 7:12 “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” This passage talks about the Golden Rule. Do unto others what you want others do unto you. It is an ethical code saying that everyone has a right to fair treatment. Golden Rule is also called the ethic of reciprocity.
