Laptops

I was kind of devastated when my desktop computer’s mother board broke. However, I was glad to have extra computer, my laptop. Without my laptop, I don’t know if I can still check emails, messages, news, and do blogging and homework. When it comes to flexibility and mobility, I think laptops are way better than desktop. And I can also say that it is good to have extra computer, like a laptop. I think laptops are lightweight. I mean you can easily move it around and carry it with you and use it anywhere as long as there’s Internet connection. So, if you want to get a laptop, read some laptop reviews online first and then decide which one you would want to get based on your personal needs and preference.

Linksys router for Internet connection

June 7, 2010 · Posted in Internet, computer · Comment

The Internet has become very popular these days. I think Internet is such a great invention. You can connect and communicate with our friends, family, etc. and meet new people from around the world in just a matter of seconds. You can also gather some information on the web. You can download a file such as a songs, videos, movies, games, etc.

When we talk about routers, Linksys router is the most popular model available today. Linksys is a user-friendly way to network all of your computers together. For example, if you have two computers at home or office, a router allows two computers to receive the internet under one IP address simultaneously. An If you have a network of computers a router will allow them to use the Internet with the same access. The Internet is then passed through the router and transported to the computers either through a wire or more commonly today now through wireless technology. Moreover, the wireless routers allow you to join computers, portable computers, personal desk assistants, and printers without using wiring. Wireless routers are excellent for connecting laptop computers to the Internet.

Private Browsing

You can browse the web without leaving any trace in your Internet browser. We know the fact that it is nearly impossible to anonymously browse the net, however, Internet browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome will allow you go incognito whenever you wish to browse the Internet.

The private browsing mode will reject cookies and will not keep a surfing history in your cached files. So, other users in using the same computer would not notice where you browse the net or where you had been up to on the net.

Well, in my case, I don’t use private browsing. But if you are using the office computer you can use private browsing, but you have to remember that some companies may have installed software in the computer so they can track where their employees have been up to on the web.

Additionally, remember that websites will still be able to collect information about. Malicious software can still track your keystrokes in exchange of free smileys. Surveillance by secret agents can track and of course, people standing behind you.

Dell’s upcoming tablets and netbooks

April 25, 2010 · Posted in computer · Comment

Ipad is getting more popular these days. Ipad is no big deal to me. It’s just like a toy or an Ipod touch, which I cannot put it in my pocket or my purse. I know a lot of people like it. But I have my own preference. I still prefer desktop computer and laptop. Anyhow, Dell is planning to release more netbooks and introduced their own version of Tablets named Sparta and Athens (hmm sounds like Greece lol). Sparta is a “netbook tablet”. Athens is a true “tablet netbook”. Sounds intriguing! Table netbook while other one is netbook tablet. I wonder what’s the difference. The netbooks and tablets both have ARM processors. They are 11-inch touchscreens with optional bluetooth, 3G and wifi, built-in camera and mic. They are expected to come out in the market by August. So, watch out for Athens and Sparta!.
