Flamingos
Here’s a photo of Flamigos I took when I went to San Diego Zoo last month. They are so cute. Do you know why are flamingos pink or orange? Their pink or reddish color comes from the rich sources of carotenoid pigments in thealgae and small crustaceans that the birds eat. The enzymes in the liver break down these carotenoids into the pink and orange pigments then deposited in the feathers, bill, and legs of the flamingos. Captive flamingos are fed on a special diet that includes prawns and beta-carotene.
At the zoo
The photo was taken at the San Diego Zoo about three weeks ago. It was really fun to go back there after 5. They changed and moved things around there. Actually, I kind of liked the old set up. I mean, I liked it how it was before. I guess, they have some reasons why they changed the set up. Anyhow, my family really enjoyed our time there.
Turtle
My husband found a tiny turtle crawling on the road while he was at work. He almost stepped on it. He was careful as he did not want to squish it. I feel bad for the turtle. The turtle must have been lost or maybe it might have been dropped from a car on accident. Oh, well, we really don’t know what happened. The turtle looks a bit bad at first and now he is crawling and wants to get out of the box. My husband loves animals. He rescued a few tiny animals and creatures before. Sadly, we are not going to keep it in our house for too long because we do not know where to place it. My husband is planning on giving it to someone who is into this beautiful creature on the weekend. I hope we can find somebody to take care of it. Actually, I want to set it free. But I don’t know where.
Do you love horses?
Do you love horses? I think horses are really cool. When I was a kid I really wanted to ride a horse and dressed up like equestrian look. I wanted to get trousers and an appropriate shirt and high boots. That was when I was a little kid. How I still wish to be able to ride a horse someday? Anyhow, I wanted to buy some equestrian books so I can become more familiar with anything related to horses or consult somebody who loves horses. And once I learned more about horses and the correct methods, I could work with horses safely. A while ago, I was looking for equestrian apparel and equipments online. I cannot wait to learn more about horses.
