I was so amazed the first time I went to Oregon to visit my in-laws. Oregon is one of the most beautiful and green place I have ever been to. There are many things Oregon can offer like falls, river, trees, beach, mountains, real estate, food, clean air and water and many others. I would like to own a property there someday, particularly in Portland. The Portland homes for sale are cheaper than here in San Diego. I could a very nice house in Oregon at cheaper mortgage than here in San Diego. And plus, the cost of living there is way affordable. I would like to get bigger place in Oregon where I could make a garden of fruits and vegetables. Oh, how I wish we could move to Oregon tomorrow. But time will come.

Valentine was a priest who served for the period of the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II determined that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families. He had forbidden young men to get married who were potentially to be good soldiers. St. Valentine realized the discrimination and unfairness of the decree. He challenged Claudius and sustained to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine’s dealings were revealed. Claudius ordered that Valentine be put to death. During the days that Valentine was in jailed, he fell in love with the blind daughter of his warden. He miraculously heal her from her blindness because of his love for her and great faith to God. Before his death, he sent her a letter saying, “From your Valentine.” The phrase has been used on his day ever since.
There are many legends and stories about Valentine’s Day. But the most important is we remember St. Valentine, and we expressed our love and appreciation to our loved ones. I was browsing some songs at youtube and I came across with Robert Palmer’s Every kind of people. I love this song a lot. I love the melody. When I was just a kid, I heard this song on the radio a lot in the 80′s. Historically, this song was released in 1978. But I was just a baby back at that time. As I grow up, I started to like the song. And I cannot get that song off my mind sometimes. It sounds so catchy. I also like Robert Palmer’s other hit songs like “Mercy, Mercy me/I want you” and “Simply Irresistible”. The song “Simply Irresistible” reminds of the Pepsi commercial way back probably 20 years ago. It was a popular Pepsi commercial. I was still in elementary at that time, though.
