To unplug or not

u prefer to unplug appliances or not when they are not in use? I personally would prefer to unplug unused appliances at home because I grew up uplugging appliances when they are in use. but my husband prefer not to unplug them. But the truth is we are paying electricity for the appliances that we are not using. Even the appliances or electronics are off but plugged in, they undoubtedly eat up energy in small amount. They are pretty much sucking up energy. That means, you paying for the energy that you don’t even use. This is called standby energy.
