Happy Valentines! How Valentines Day got started? Why Valentines Day is symbolized or associated with Cupids? Have you ever wondered why? When I was a kid, I used to believe that cupids are part of it. The story of Cupid is about love. Cupid fell in love with Psyche, a mortal. They got married with the condition that Psyche is not allowed to see Cupid. Until one day, she defied this condition but Cupid ran away from her. Consequently, she wanted to be reunited with Cupid. So, Psyche paid a visit to Venus, Cupid’s mother. She did several trials and tests. And she passed. As a reward, Venus reunited Psyche and Cupid. Sooner or later, Cupid and Psyche gave birth to a child named pleasure.
