I love that song! It is one of my favorite songs. I always play this song every December 31st and love the distinctive sound of the bass guitar. This song can be found in the U2’s album called “War”. Actually, the lyrics of this songs had its origins in a love song from Bono (lead singer) to his wife but then it was edited. However, their music is always based on philosophy and politics.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Gung Hay Fat Choy! It means “Best wishes and Congratulations. Have a prosperous and good year” in Chinese. Time runs really fast. I could hardly imagine it is almost January. In Asia right now, it is already 31st. I missed the New Year’s Eve celebration in Cebu – people are busy preparing for “Media Noche” foods. Media Noche is a special dinner a night before New Year in the Philippines or simply means “midnight meal”. This is to celebrate the coming New Year. Oh boy, I missed those days. The Media Noche foods are ham, some native dessert, fruits and more. The Media Noche is not complete without round fruits for good fortune. And when midnight strikes, you’d hear firecrackers and see pretty fireworks. It is one of the ways to end the year and welcome the New Year.

Bamboo shades

I have been busy lately because we are doing some changes and repairs in your house. I am pretty excited for the outcome. I would like to get some bamboo shades. They don’t only provide shade indoors but also the shades will bring beauty and natural feeling to our home. Bamboo shades are very neat window shades and can be found in different styles. I found some good bamboo shades in Roman style at paylessdecor.com. Of all the sites I looked up, I was fascinated with Payless Decor because they are having a big sale right now. I can get up to 40% off. I can easily choose the right bamboo shades that fit in our windows by sorting by width, height and the price, of course. In addition, this site shows me how to measure for window treatments and offers free samples to see the actual color and style – and the shipping is free.
