Watch your diet on Thanksgiving Day

November 26, 2008 · Posted in Personal, health

People tend to eat too much on holidays. So, tomorrow, if you are on diet, watch out! Be aware that most Thanksgiving Day foods are high in fat and carbohydrates like bread, potatoes, stuffing, sweets or desserts. You might eat too much. It is pretty tempting to see roast turkey, mashed potato, bread, green beans, soup, salad, dumpling, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc on the table. The foods can certainly increase your appetite. Just eat normally on Thanksgiving (treat it as a regular day). I must admit, I eat too much on occasion (and I feel guilty after). Don’t focus on Turkey or meat, start your meal with some vegetables like salad or soup. Hope these simple tips help. Have a great Thanksgiving Day!
