Blockbuster offers direct to TV
Do you rent movies? We rent movies at Blockbuster because they have movies for .99 cents good for 5 days. And sometimes, we borrow movies from the library (it’s free). Good news to Blockbuster subscribers! Blockbuster offers instant access all the way through TV sets to on-demand movies. This is in connection with the continuing development of Blockbuster’s Movielink.com. Blockbuster’s Movielink.com carries approximately 10,000 on-demand movies for download to pcs. And two thousand out of ten thousand on-demand movies can be downloaded to TVs. This is to compete with Netflix, but the only difference is the movie and the fees. In order to avail of this service, initially, subscribers must rent 25 on demand movies in advance at $99. Then after that, rentals start at $1.99 each. And the nice thing about this service is movies stay on the 2Wire MediaPoint digital media player (can be incorporated into tv by fused cable, HDMI, cable and Toslink) for 30 days. Many of the movies will be available through the Blockbuster OnDemand service after weeks of showing and leaving theaters. This is an awesome service. But only thing that I don’t like in this service is the initial fee. Subscribers will be obliged to rent 25 movies for $99. That’s a lot of money. I bet, there are people wouldn’t mind this deal.
