Why candies for “trick or treating”? I was wondering why. Is it because kids love candies? If you are going to ask kids to choose between a car and candies, I think they’d choose candies. lol Trick or treating is a tradition of Halloween. In some places, they call it “Beggars Night”. For mothers, don’t let your kids eat too much candy. It’s not good for their teeth – Plaque bacteria eats sugar and turns it into acid, which can lead to cavities. Let them eat in moderation. And control their candies. Kids tend eat too much candy on Halloween.

I always notice many birds in our backyard every morning. They’re kind of noisy but it is beautiful to hear the noise and humming. I see different birds like hummingbird, mocking bird, and some wild birds. My husband gets annoyed with mocking birds especially when he is asleep; the birds would usually make a bunch of noise early in the morning. However, they don’t really irritate and annoy me. In fact, I would like to get them bird feeders to have a large variety of birds to visit my backyard. It’d be nice to see them everyday. I always like birds since I was a kid. I hope my husband doesn’t mind this idea. I looked up the net and found some cool bird feeders at Birdfeeders.com. This site sells and carries wide array of bird feeders for different birds. They have hummingbird feeders, wild bird feeders, and oriole feeders. Their bird feeders come in traditional, retro and contemporary style. They also have squirrel-proof that prevents squirrel from prowling the seeds and squirrel baffles that avoid squirrels from getting the seeds or feeds. I also found some bird feeder accessories such as birdbaths, birdhouses, feeder setting, and a lot more. Overall, this site is a great online store of bird feeders and accessories.I can’t wait to have bird feeders.

I read from the news that bees can count to four. Scientists in Australia discovered honey bees have the ability to count from one to four. They proved by putting five markers inside a tunnel and placed nectar in one of them. The honey bees placed in the tunnel flew to the marker with the food, and would still fly to the same marker stripe when the food was removed. The researchers said “We find that if you train them to the third stripe, they will look subsequently in the third strip. “If you train them to the fourth stripe, they will look the fourth stripe and so on. But their ability to count seems to go only up to four. They can’t count beyond four.

Are you ready for Halloween

How did Halloween get started? We celebrate Halloween on every 31st of October. I searched about it and this is all what I got. The word, “Halloween” comes from “All Hallows Eve” or “All Saint’s Day in the Catholic day observance in honor of saints. It also has its origin in the Celtic festival called, Samhain. The festival at that time was used by pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolved, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing sickness and crop problems. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were worn at the festivals to mimic evil spirits. That was how Halloween started. Are you ready for Halloween?
